New Display Case

Postby hydra427 » Sat Mar 18, 2017 3:02 pm

Well it has been a long winter and I finally have a few weeks off from coaching and officiating so I decided to finish my newest display case. I am 95% done at this point with just a little staining and hardware to add. I truly enjoy building these cases as much as I do collecting the cars to fill them. I know I could go out and buy some store displays probably at a third of the cost but what fun is that. I always get inspired by seeing some of the great collections that are out there. I hope to someday have a few more gift sets and display carousels to add to my collection but they truly are hard to come by. Hope you enjoy the pictures and if you have any questions feel free to ask.

Thanks for looking, John

Beautiful job on the display case, John. What a great way to show those great gift sets. I am truly green with envy. How do you access the cabinet? It looks like the front is removable? Again, well done. Jay

Not just a great case, look at the quality of the contents. Everything looks pretty near mint, including the boxes.

Wow John, that case is absolutely superb, as are its contents  . I bet a few of us are drooling right now looking at it. Fantastic workmanship. Give yourself a big slap on the back mate. :D

A beautiful case and wonderful displays. I like how you've opened up the boxes to show off the models.
Well done!

Very nice display case, John. The condition of the contents is superb also. To watch it, is much more exiting for me, then to watch TV nowadays :D .
